Exploring Clark – Part One
15 February 2016

Continuing on with my previous post, here are some photos from our day spent bowling, riding carousels, eating, and exploring.

First of all, it was cool to see how big SM City Clark was. It reminded me a lot of a really big airport terminal but with more shops and better food choices.

First on our agenda was bowling! And contrary to what my game face says, my bowling game is just not as strong. haha! If you saw my Snapchat videos, you’d know what I’m talking about.

It was nice to be reminded of just how much fun these games can be. They even have billiard tables and karaoke rooms for those who don’t want to get too active. I stuck to bowling, though, and I have a feeling I’m going to be dragging my friends out to the lanes pretty soon. 🙂

My plan was just to look as cool as possible ’cause this guy behind me, as well as everyone else in the game room was just too serious about training for their bowling competitions. While I bowled ones and gutter balls. (face to palm)

The only conciliation for my bad bowling game was that I was surrounded by good company  (some of whom were just as bad as I was)! Mwahahahhahaha! Cause we all know misery loves company, right?! hahahaha! No really. It was fun to make fun of ourselves and not take the game too seriously.

This game makes me want to do more activities that aren’t the typical movie nights or dinners out. Any suggestions on what else I should go try? It can be around Manila or anywhere else. I’d love to know! Leave me a comment in the section below.

If you’re looking to do a road trip up to Clark and don’t know where to stay, then you might want to check this out: Park Inn Hotel

It’s a really colorful, young hotel that reminds me of the boutique hotels in Sweden.

I really liked the modern vibe of this place.

They really made the most of the space they were given and got creative too.

The rooms were just right for 2 people.

And each floor had a different color scheme. They thought of it all. Down to the staff’s socks colour!

It’s pretty convenient to be located across from the SM too! If ever you need something, or get hungry, all you have to do is walk a few steps and you’re there!

At the end of the day, all you really need is a bed and a shower anyway. 🙂

Definitely coming back the next time I stay in Clark.

P.S. Try the Cajun Salmon too! It’s yummy.

The best part of the entire trip, though, was being able to experience the hot air balloon festival!

Pat and I had the time of our lives being able to ride the SM balloon and seeing Clark from all the way up there. I was so happy to be able to tick one more thing off my bucket list! Read more about that here.
