Going through all these photos are making me nostalgic. I wish I could re-live all of these memories again. Thank goodness I took A LOT of photos on this trip to last me a lifetime! lol. These were taken on our third and last day in Rome where we got to tour The Vatican Museum, see the Sistine Chapel (as well as Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam), enter St. Peter’s Square and tour St. Peter’s Basilica.
To say that this day was an all you can take art fest is such a understatement. Everywhere you looked was one masterpiece after the other. My mind was going on overdrive trying to take it all in! I mean just look at the photos! It was insane. Even the ceilings had art!
One of the highlights was definitely getting to see Michelangelo’s painting around the Sistine Chapel. I still can’t believe one man could make such beautiful things to last lifetimes. I wish I could have taken some photos but we weren’t allowed to which was sort of a relief for me because it forced me to really put my gadgets away and take it all in as best as I could. I really got to experience it fully so I’m happy about that. I would suggest you guys go do this too whenever you’re in Rome. It’s such a beautiful place and you can’t help but think “if these walls could talk”…
We then took a short stroll through an alley way which led us right in St. Peter’s Square and right where the Pope stood just 24 hours before us!

We also got some alone time in St. Peter’s Basilica and before meeting up with the group for break time where we would all head off and do our own things before dinner.
Laureen and I decided to find this little restaurant we heard about called Cul de Sac and have another one of our mini-dates.
Oh my goodness. This food was amazing! The tomatoes were so sweet and the ravioli, amazing! I wish I could go back just for that. hahaha!
Then another short stroll and we were back by the Trevi Fountain with Gelatos in hand!
We even witnessed a proposal which was so cute.
Then we headed to the hotel to get some rest before dinner at Tanagra with Opera performances.
